Aitor Llimerá

Aitor Llimerá Galduf is a prominent Valencian oboist and composer. He began his musical education at the Banda Primitiva School in Llíria with his father, continuing at the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Superior Conservatory of Music in Valencia, where he received the Honorary Mention and the Final Degree Award. He later studied composition in Castellón and earned his Ph.D. in Music with Cum Laude honors from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Throughout his career, he has won several young performer competitions and has been part of renowned youth orchestras such as the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE), under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel. He has collaborated with prestigious orchestras, such as the Spanish National Orchestra and the Barcelona Orchestra, performing as principal oboist and English horn.

As a soloist, he has performed works by major composers and premiered contemporary compositions. Additionally, he is an oboe professor at the “José Iturbi” Municipal Conservatory in Valencia and collaborates in various international festivals.

 

 Ximo Tarín

In 2010, he completed his clarinet studies at ESMUC, and in 2014, he finished his orchestra conducting studies at the Liceu Conservatory. Subsequently, he moved to Tilburg (the Netherlands) to pursue a Master’s degree in Wind Band Conducting under the tutelage of Hardy Mertens, Jan Cober, and Henrie Adams.

In 2019, he conducted the SimfoVents Palma as a guest conductor, and since then, he has been the principal conductor of the Banda Primitiva de Rafelbunyol (Valencia).

Simultaneously, he has developed his career as a composer. He has won several awards and premiered works in the Netherlands, Paraguay, the USA, and much of Spain. His catalog includes works across all genres, with a special emphasis on those dedicated to wind ensembles.

Since 2023, he has also served as the deputy conductor of the Barcelona Municipal Band.
