Presentation

Rafel Festival launches the 1st Edition of the Artistic Creation Residencies 2026 with the aim of consolidating a stable platform supporting new musical creation in the Valencian territory. This initiative responds to the need to provide real production and premiere opportunities for young composers, facilitating the transition from artistic project to professional context.

The programme is aligned with the festival’s artistic vision, focused on contemporary music and electronic, audiovisual and multimedia languages, and is conceived as a platform for development, research and visibility of emerging talent. The residency not only promotes the creation of original works, but also fosters collaborative work with specialised performers and strengthens the connection between creators, audiences and territory.

Through this open call, Rafel Festival expands its cultural impact beyond artistic presentation, generating its own production, activating the Valencian creative ecosystem and contributing to the external projection of Rafelbunyol as a space committed to cultural innovation. The Artistic Creation Residency thus becomes a tool for artistic development, social return and cultural positioning within the contemporary creation landscape.
